London Buses route 131 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, England. Running between Tooting Broadway station and Kingston, it is operated by London United. ==History== In 1949 route 131 ran between Kingston station and Walton-on-Thames. On 9 May 1962, it was extended from Kingston to Wimbledon replacing withdrawn trolleybus route 604. On 17 September 1971, it was withdrawn between West Molesey and Walton-on-Thames. Upon being put out to competitive tender, route 131 passed to London & Country on 27 June 1987. Upon being re-tendered, it passed to Westlink on 29 September 1990. The section west of Kingston was withdrawn on 29 October 1994, being replaced by route 411. Route 131 was included in the sale of Westlink to London United in 1995, who have operated it since. On 30 June 2007, the route was extended from Wimbledon to Tooting Broadway station via South Wimbledon, Merton Abbey and Colliers Wood.
